dealers Emory and Dorothy Bonander took over Wenell Pontiac
of downtown Turlock. Later Bonander acquired the Buick and
GMC franchises and the store later branched into medium and
heavy duty truck sales as well. Bonander Pontiac serves as
headquarters for the entire Bonander operation. |

one of the oldest and most successful divisions of Bonander.
Started in the late 1960's, Bonander moved its cramped downtown
truck operation to a sprawling 9-acre facility in the early
1990's, The store sells a wide selection of used big rigs, as
well as being a new franchised dealer for GMC medium and heavy
duty, and Western Star. The store has a full alignment rack
for trucks, as well as nearly a dozen service bays for heavy
duty maintenance and repair jobs. The facility also houses Bonander's
largest trailer facility, selling Wells Cargo, TrailMax, Featherlite,
Big Tex, and 4-Star. |
